BIO
From childhood, I had a strong passion for art and music that rivaled my fascination with the biological sciences. My family dentist encouraged me to look into dentistry upon entering the Texas Academy of Mathematics & Science in high school. As the President of the Pre-Dental Society at Washington University in St. Louis, I furthered my experience through Give Kids a Smile, Honduran Dental Missions, and an international dental internship in Barcelona, Spain.
Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry expanded my understanding beyond the clinical aspect into the advocacy and self-education. Since graduating in 2019, I furthered my education in Composites, Invisalign, Molar Root Canals, Laser Therapy, Occlusal Guard Therapy, and Full Mouth Rehabilitation. Currently, I am practicing as a locum dentist licensed in both Florida and Texas!

GENERAL DENTIST
February 2024 - July 2024
Worked as a locum and independent contractor with PAAL Dental Group as the solo doctor at Duck Creek Dental in Garland, TX. Continued to improve skillset in root canals, extractions, and composites. Trained under Dr. Jim Downs to open vertical dimension and restore ideal occlusion through full mouth rehabilitation. Learned about insurance coverage, billing and collections, and umbrella PPO plans. Assisted in transitioning patients from previous dentist owner who passed suddenly to the new dentist owners.

April 2023 - January 2024
Worked as an independent contractor and solo doctor with Smilepoint Dental Group in Benbrook, Azle, Springtown, and Lucas in Texas to diagnose and treat families under Medicaid/HMO/DMO/PPO/FFS plans. Trained staff in root canal therapy and started treating molars under the guidance Dr. Nguyen. Applied courses in composites, veneers, and third molar extractions with Drs. Dietschi, Lastimado, and Nekky. Improved patient communication & rapport through a practitioner course in neuro-linguistic programming.

Worked as an independent contractor with Aria Care Partners to provide auxiliary basic dental services to bedbound patients in 30+ nursing homes & assisted living facilities across the state of Florida. Performing on-site care with special attention to complex medical conditions and polypharmacy in consultation with each facility physician. Working to improve the dental home of special needs and disabled patients as well as provide both surgical and non-surgical treatment to patients, including full-mouth extractions, composite fillings, and dentures.

Employed under the Heartland Dental Corporation as General Practitioner at Dental Care at Cartwheel Bay. Worked with 100+ patients in a highly professional and developed area of St Johns county to provide simply & surgical extractions, fillings, cleanings, denture relines, crowns, and post & core services. Improved dental homes by independently creating protocols for patients with gingivitis, periodontitis, and prevalent decay along with nutritional guidance. Experienced in effective communication, clinical treatment, and cooperative leadership.
RESEARCH ASSISTANT
June 2015 - May 2016
Conducted research with Dr. Yongbo Lu, M.D., Ph.D. at the Baylor College of Dentistry to analyze the effects of Dentin Matrix Protein 1 on odontoblast differentiation. The research poster was presented at the IADR Conference in Los Angeles, CA in March of 2016.

Completed internship at Tingsvall & McCarthy International Dental Clinic in Barcelona, Spain. Performed social media marketing services and gave seminars to the American and British International Schools to promote oral health awareness. Utilized experience as capstone project for Senior Thesis in the Medicine & Society program at Washington University in Louis. LEGISLATIVE LIAISON
Worked with classmates and dentists at the state and national level, this position enhanced my team management skills while organizing several events for all students. As the official delegate of the school, I was also able to attend several conferences such as the National Leadership Conference and National Lobby Day as an official delegate.
Received the Best Legislative Liaison award at National Lobby Day 2017.

STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE
Represented the interest of the Baylor College of Dentistry student body on the board of the Dallas County Dental Society. Attended monthly meetings and promoted student interests in policies.

Served on the board of DENPAC, the Advocacy Board of the Texas Dental Association in order to represent all dental students in Texas in political support. Established student interests within the politico-policy sphere at the state level.

Served as Rush Chair of the Delta Sigma Delta Fraternity Lambda Lambda Chapter to organize recruitment and initiation events. Spanish, Hindi, Japanese
Gained proficiency in Spanish by speaking with Spanish-Only patients and interning at Tingsvall & McCarthy Dental Clinic in Barcelona, Spain.
Maintained native tongue of Hindi through multiple trips to India, classical music lessons, and my grandmother, the other doctor in our family with a PhD in Hindi.
Gained proficiency in Japanese through two years of academic rigor and cultural immersion.
